Maybe I should start everyday with these words. Maybe if I repete it often enough it would sink into my tiny little brain! No matter what is happening in our life God already knew it was going to happen! Nothing takes Him by surprise. NOTHING! The attacks on 9/11 didnt surprise Him, the wars, He knew they were coming! The earthquakes and tsunami, totally, HE had the inside track on that. Tornadoes dont take Him off guard. HE knew where Osama Bin Ladin was the whole time and his death was not a shock to Him! But of course, He talks about all these things in the Bible... He tells us over and over that these things will happen and the end times draw near. Why are we so surprised?
But what about our everyday storms of life? Yes HE is there too. He knows about rebellious teenagers, 18 year olds that think they are ready to be "adults" and move out on their own, kids that want to live together without getting married, 16 year olds that get pregnant, and 15 year old boys that fall into looking at porn, and sneaking out with their friends to smoke. GOD is not shocked by these things. Moms are! Let me tell you that- MOM ARE!! Why did I think that I would raise 8 kids and they would all just grow up and be good. We have always taken them to church and have taught them about God, read our Bibles (not as often as we should), prayed with them and for them, taught them right from wrong, tried to be a good example to them. We didn't abuse them, we have always stood united as a team, we have never had much, but have given them all the love and support that we could. GOD gave them their own free will to make their own choices. HE knew what their choices would be. The hard part is wrapping my brain around the whole idea that HE has a plan for us. This is part of HIS plan. He works all things together for good. He wants what is BEST for us ALL THE TIME!
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! HE IS IN CONTROL words to live by!
